Build an integrated app experience of smart parental controls service
NETGEAR Circle is a subscription service providing a smart way for families to manage content and time online. Circle's core product is derived from a third party solution called Circle by Disney. It helps users manage screen time and content for each family member. Circle 2.5 launch is native and included in both Nighthawk and Orbi apps.
Dashboard
The existing dashboard has little information about each user profile, with very limited actions available. The new design provides status and usage information for each profile without tapping into it. Key actions are available such as pausing, sending rewards, and tracking location.
Profile
Profile - The existing profile landing page shows current settings without much useful data of individual profile. The new design shows usage in the landing page and provides users a quick glance of the latest data in a graph view. Other features are arranged in separate tabs for easy navigation. Multiple rounds of user testing are planned to understand user behaviors and reactions to the current design.
Device Manager
The concept of "user profile" was introduced in this release, to help change the app experience from product focused to user centered. Once a user profile is set up with device(s) assigned, users can view and manage all devices sorted by profile.
